Success looks different for each of us. We're proud of every graduate of our programs. Below are a few individuals who have worked hard to steward the talents that God has given them.

Receptionist, CCV Memphis
Detra graduated from Jobs for Life in '07 and has worked consistently since then. For almost a year now, Detra has worked part time as a receptionist at Citizens for Community Values, Memphis. This month she will complete her certification in accounting at Messick Vocational School. She hopes to go on to get her associates degree at Southwest.

 

 

 

Curtis HinesCurtis Hines
General Manager, LaserQuest
In 2003, Curtis graduated from the Financial Freedom course that Advance offered before incorporating Jobs for Life into our curriculum. Currently, he is employed as a General Manager at LaserQuest. He was hired on there in '08 as a Manager, and received the promotion to GM in '09. Curtis has traveled to Toronto a few times to visit the LaserQuest corporate offices.

Machine Operator I, KTG, USA
Craigen graduated from Jobs for Life in early 2009. In October '09, he was part of the first work crew that the newly formed Advance Memphis Staffing Service sent to KTG. He worked as a line lead and impressed leaders at KTG. In April of '10, Craigen was offered a permanent position with KTG. George Mapson, Strategic Development Manager at KTG, said the following about Craigen: "He always does his job with a passion. He continues to be a role model and a mentor for other employees. He does what I ask everyone to do--treat each day is if it were an interview."

 

 

 

Kim WrightKim Wright
Embroidery Machine Operator, Advance Memphis Outsourcing Program through One Stop Marketing
Kim graduated from Jobs for Life in November 2009. In early 2010 she was selected to begin training on an industrial embroidery machine at One Stop Marketing. After one month, a new embroidery machine was delivered to the Advance Memphis Outsourcing Program, and Kim began embroidering shirts and hats for Autozone through One Stop. She is a full time employee of the Outsourcing Program and is now training others on the embroidery machine. This job is also exciting because the work that Kim is completing was previously done in Pakistan.
