Artist Guidelines
What You Need to Know
Each artist may submit 1–3 pieces of artwork. A diptych or triptych counts as one submission as long as they are titled and sold as one piece. We accept original two-dimensional works (no prints), sculptures within size limitations, and pottery.
We reserve the right not to accept artwork that is either inappropriate for our family-friendly event or doesn't meet our standards of professional craftsmanship.
Artwork must be properly wired for hanging. Paper pieces must be properly framed.
To help fund our economic stability work in South Memphis, we keep 50% of the proceeds from art sales at the event. You can choose to keep or donate the other 50%. If your piece sells, we will send you a check for your portion of the proceeds within two weeks of the sale.
At Art for Jobs, we let artists set their prices. But after running this show for 16 years, we know that pieces in the $250–$2,000 range sell best. We strongly recommend varying the sizes and prices of your artwork to appeal to a wider range of shoppers. We also recommend not submitting pieces larger than 55 inches in height or width, as they are more difficult to sell.
