Building Resilience

We know that even with the best training and tools for success, our past experiences can come out of nowhere to derail our progress and bring up new barriers to success. Seeing these realities in our own lives and in the lives of our neighbors, Advance Memphis is partnering with amazing volunteers and organizations to help us find rest and reconciliation from our past. During each Work Life class, participants will develop strategies and tools to help with stress management and building resilience in the workplace. We believe God has given us the ability to "be transformed through the renewing of [our minds]" (Romans 12:2). Through the incorporation of daily mindfulness activities, life story sessions, social-emotional learning through sports with PickleMania, art therapy, and exploring other trauma-informed practices, Work Life is helping to equip individuals with tools for a flourishing future in the workforce.
