Historically South Memphis has been plagued by generational poverty and high unemployment. While the generational poverty and lack of opportunity is staggering, South Memphis is a vibrant community full of resilient Memphians, made in the image of God, with unique skills and talents. Advance Memphis works with the community to support economic revitalization through Biblically-based programs that bring HOPE, KNOWLEDGE, RESOURCES, and SKILLS.
OUR CLASSES
Work Readiness
We offer soft-skills job training for people who are unemployed or underemployed. The program inspires and equips participants to find and keep meaningful work.
Managing Money
We provide classes and matched savings accounts that empower participants and provide tools to better understand personal financial management, budgeting, and more.
Job Opportunities
Through the Advance Memphis Staffing agency, we assist with workplace hurdles and provide job opportunities to dozens of employees per week with our staffing and business partners.
Entrepreneurship
Our LAUNCH program offers small business training, education, support, and mentoring for any entrepreneur interested in starting or growing a business.
Volunteer
Programs don’t change lives. God changes lives through relationships. Our staff alone can’t develop relationships with every participant and graduate – we need your help.
Warehousing
Advance Memphis provides exceptional third party outsourcing and warehousing services (3PL), including order fulfillment, inventory management, pick & pack, labeling, kitting and more. By becoming a business partner, you can directly impact South Memphis by providing employment for our program graduates.
